The Meeting will be organized in different sessions:

Crocodilian Natural History; Biology, Physiology, Pathology and Genetics; Husbandry; Management programs; Conservation programs; before each session there will be a lecture about the topic.

There are three different workshops in different days during the Meeting:

1. Sustainability keys in crocodilian management programs;

2. Management of Caiman yacare within its distribution area;

3. Review of the Downlisting process in Endangered Species Act (E.S.A.) and CITES.

Proyecto Yacaré is aimed to Caiman latirostris conservation and management since 1990; is based in Santa Fe City, 480 km north from Buenos Aires. Both cities are connected by airway (one hour trip) and road in comfortable buses (six hour trip).

During the meeting we’re planning to host a CSG Regional Steering Committee Meeting.

Registration fee is US$ 100 (student is US$80, and guest is US$75). Registration fee before March 20^th 2005 is US$85 (full) and US$65 (student and guest). Registration includes Meeting materials, Proceedings of the Meeting (in CD, PDF format), T-Shirt, welcome Dinner, and farewell Dinner. We will have a Hospitality Room, every afternoon for all participants. During the Meeting there will be a guided visit through the Estacion Zoologica Experimental, were you will see many of the inhabitant animals of the region, on the same day we will visit Proyecto Yacare facilities. Argentine money is called PESO, its value is 1/3 of US dollar. Argentina have a lot of wonderful landscapes to be visited, you can check the official Secretariat of Tourism http://www.turismo.gov.ar/ and http://www.enargentinaturismo.com.ar/ for options. We are planning a one day field trip after the meeting for Saturday. The cost will be 60US$ per person, and will include transportation and a typical BBQ in a cattle ranch (wild caimans available of course).
